Changing your Outlook password
Unlike Novell, Outlook does not force a periodic password
change. However, all users should
periodically change their Outlook password.
The process is not very intuitive – here are the steps:
1. From the Outlook menu, select Tools, Options and
select the Other tab.
2. Click Advanced Options
3. Click Custom Forms
4. Click Password.
5. Complete the dialog box. Your username is your email address (ie
jtfreed) and the domain is:
unccharlotte-nt
6. Click OK to exit all dialog boxes
To right align tabs in Word, first make sure that the ruler is
visible (View, Ruler). On the ruler,
double click the position where you want to set the tab stop. This opens the Tabs dialog box. In the box, select Right for the tab
alignment, then select a “leader” if desired then click OK.
Outlook: Modifying a Distribution List for an
Individual Email Message
When sending mail to a distribution list, the distribution
list displays in the To field of the email message with a plus sign next to
it. Clicking the plus sign will replace the distribution list with the
names of the individual members so that you can easily delete (or add) an
individual who is not a member. The delete/add action pertains only
to the message you are currently sending - the distribution list itself is not
affected.
2006 Calendar Templates available
from Microsoft
Microsoft has a number of 2006 calendar templates available for download. If you are going to download a calendar template, make sure you download it for the correct software (a calendar created for Visio will not work in Excel). Once downloaded, the calendar opens and you can revise as needed, saving it when you are done.

Word:Viewing
Multiple Pages Outside of Print Preview
Most Word users are
aware that multiple pages of a document can be viewed in Print Preview. However,
you can add the Multiple Pages button to your Word Standard toolbar, making it
possible for you to view multiple pages of a document without having to click
Print Preview first. Here’s how:
NOTE: You can only view multiple pages
in Print Layout View. If you are not in
Print Layout View, select View, Print Layout from the Word menu.
Word: Placing a Text Watermark in a Word
Document
You can place a
watermark (ie Confidential) in a Word document in this manner:
Outlook: “Persons Names” Smart Tags.
When sending email,
you might notice a small box display next to the name of the intended
recipient. Clicking on the box displays
a drop down arrow. Clicking the arrow to
setup a meeting with the person, add to contacts, etc. Person Names Smart Tags are NOT set by
default. To set them, select Tools, Options, and on the Other tab, select
"Enable the Person Names Smart Tags".
