Access Database Displays Security Warning

You may receive a security warning on the top of your screen when you open a database in Access 2007.

  1. Click the Options button
  2. Click “Open the Trust Center”
  3. Click Trusted Locations
  4. Place a checkmark next to “Allow Trusted Locations on my Network (not recommended).”
  5. Click Add New Location
  6. In the box that says Path, browse to the location of your database (J drive or H drive)
  7. Place a checkmark next to “Subfolders of this location are also trusted.” Click OK until you exit all dialog boxes.
  8. Close the Database and then re-open it
