WebFocus: Windows has blocked this software…message

You receive this message in WebFocus: “Windows has blocked the software because it can’t verify the publisher.” The name referenced is javaassist, and the publisher is unknown.

Verify that you have the correct version of Java installed by selecting Tools/Internet Options in Internet Explorer. On the Advanced Tab, make sure that the “Use JRE 1.6.0_03” is selected. You will need version 1.6.0.03 or higher. ( Note: The current version of Banner works with up to Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0.07 ).

If Java does not display under Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, follow these steps:

1. Select Start / Control Panel / Java
2. Click the Advanced Tab
3. Select the plus sign in front of the “Default Java for browsers” item in order to expand it.
4. Check the “Microsoft Internet Explorer” checkbox.
5. Click “Apply” button and then the “OK” button.
6. Close all Internet Explorer Browser Sessions and re-open a new browser session( The JRE option should appear in the Internet Explorer Advanced Tab options after this ).
